Celebrating 10 Years of Hope, Service, and Community in South Fulton
Whether someone needs food for their family, clothing for their children, or a community that believes in their potential, there is a place for them here.
"No matter where we are in life, we are always one event away from being a person in need".

Not sure where to start? Tell us what you need, and we'll point you in the right direction.

Clothing Closet
Clothing is dignity. It's a child walking into school with confidence. A parent walking into a job interview ready. Every month during our food distributions, families can shop the Clothing Closet at no cost, because no one should need a separate trip for everything else they need.
How we help matters as much as the help itself. Every family here is treated with respect and care.
Need Clothing or Household Items?
Visit the Clothing Closet during an upcoming food distribution. Everything is available at no cost.
Legacy Building Moms
Single motherhood is one of the most demanding, most invisible roles in our community. Legacy Building Moms is a space to be seen, supported, and strengthened, a community of women investing in one another, their children, and the legacy they're building every day.
What Participants Receive Each Year
These mothers aren't defined by their circumstances. They're defined by their resilience.

Golightly Street Community Garden
Access to fresh produce shouldn't depend on your zip code. Established in 2024, the Golightly Street Community Garden is Fairburn's first, built on the belief that growing food together is one of the most powerful ways a community can invest in itself. Each harvest goes directly to neighbors near the garden and residents of The Manor, a senior apartment building in Fairburn.
A garden is a long-term investment in a community's health. We're proud to be planting those seeds right here in Fairburn.
Backpack Buddies
Backpack Buddies partners directly with a local school to identify students who need extra support. Every week, 55 bags of groceries go home with them, quietly, so no one else has to know. Because a child shouldn't go hungry over the weekend just because the cafeteria is closed.
This is our newest program, and one of our most personal. Every bag is packed with care, and delivered without a single question asked.
Empowerment Workshops
Margie's House hosts regular Empowerment Workshops open to the whole community, providing practical knowledge, encouragement, and resources to help individuals and families build stability and move forward with confidence.
Because having enough for today matters, having the knowledge, confidence, and tools to move forward matters too.
Topics Include
Because stability isn't just about having enough. It's about having the confidence and tools to build a life that lasts.
Want to Attend a Workshop?
Workshops are open to the whole community.

Education Support
A child who walks in without the supplies they need starts the day already behind. That's not a reflection of their ability. It's a gap we can close. Every quarter, Margie's House provides school supplies to students and teachers, because learning shouldn't be limited by a lack of pencils, paper, or basic materials, and teachers shouldn't have to reach into their own pockets to equip their classrooms.
When children are equipped to learn, communities grow stronger. It really is that direct.
Holiday Programs
The holidays can be the hardest time of year for families already stretched thin. Margie's House makes sure no family is left out of the celebration, through Thanksgiving and Christmas programs built for exactly that.
Sixty families receive baskets filled with food and toiletries, everything needed for a holiday meal and a cared-for household.
Two hundred children receive pajamas, underwear, socks, an outfit, and toys, so Christmas morning feels like Christmas morning.
No family should sit down to Thanksgiving without something on the table. No child should wake up on Christmas without something to open.

Looking Ahead
Nine programs. Hundreds of families. A decade of showing up. And we are just getting started. Margie's House is working toward something bigger: a permanent Community Empowerment Center where families can access food, educational resources, workforce development, financial empowerment, and supportive services, all under one roof. Right now, we serve people across multiple locations. A permanent home means more people served, more consistently, with greater capacity and deeper impact. A place where people don't just come to receive help. They come to discover what's possible.
Every dollar donated to Margie's House today is a step toward that future. You're not just supporting a program. You're helping build a permanent home for this community.
